Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born April 16, 1997 in Miami Florida. Half English mixed with Spanish She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The father of her was Argentine with Scottish and English heritage. Her mother's ancestry is Spanish and English. Taylor Joy also has 4 siblings. One of them is from each of her parents' prior marriages. The family lived at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, after which they moved to the Victoria district in London. Taylor Joy states that the move to England was a very difficult experience. She was not willing to study English and hoped she could relocate back to Argentina. Hill House, a school within the same district as Northlands was required to take her. Later she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she reached the age of sixteen, Taylor-Joy resigned from the school to pursue a full-time acting career. Taylor-Joy's dream to become an acting star began when she was just a child. Sarah Doukas of Storm Management was the first one to hire her as a professional model.
