Charissa Thompson
Thompson was fired by FOX Sports in 2009 and started hosting the show for Versus Sports and Yahoo Sports. She anchored Versus' NHL studio coverage and recorded web videos for the highly-visited Yahoo platform. She was also responsible for the site's presence at high-profile sporting events like those of the 2010 Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XLV as well as the BCS National Championship. The success in both venues led to her joining ESPN on August 11, 2011 where she was named host of the new show for the afternoon "Numbers Never Lie." After a transition towards "SportsNation," she enjoyed an unending run of successes. The network was shut down for FS1's launch at Los Angeles, May 2013 and returned the city of Los Angeles. Thompson is a huge sports fan, but she proved her ability for her to transition into the entertainment industry. In June of 2014, following numerous part-time assignments Thompson was made a as a permanent co-host for the Hollywood nightly newsmagazine "Extra". In this capacity she taped her the episodes in Universal Studios while also staffing award shows as well as other prestigious occasions on a regular basis.
